Church Camp Changes Lives!

Dear Families,

Why should I send my child or teen to Mississippi Valley Christian Service Camp?? That is a pretty good question, let's take a serious look at answering it.

In these times of trouble and declining morality we need to challenge our young people to live close to God. Jesus calls them to a life of service, but at the same time the world is tempting them to go the lower road. Sometimes, as parents we get frustrated and wonder, "What can I do, is there any help out there?" Don't give up or give in; there is help. This is what the Christian Service Camp is prepared to do--help the family and Church in teaching and encouraging youth to grow spiritually. The goals for camp are to give life meaning by challenging each camper to consecrate themselves to Christ and the Christian life and to provide each camper wholesome recreation and fellowship, which is vital to their physical make up. In choosing Christianity, they will have direction and purpose in life - to travel the upper road - the way of service, joy and eternal life.

Campers receive Bible teaching, fellowship with other Christian youth, encouragement to work and play cooperatively, and confidence in their ability to serve in the Church. Campers are given the Gospel message of Christ and challenged to live their life for Christ daily, now and in the future, and to make a commitment to Christian ministry and or service.

We are looking forward to an exciting and rewarding summer camp season. We pray that all young people eligible for camp will attend, and that families and local congregations will encourage attendance. God can change the world through Christian children and youth!
